Parking for Commuters
Commuters receive their parking decal by mail at the beginning of the semester. If you have not received a decal by the start of classes, please report to the OneCard office (Shaughnessy Administration Building) or the Parking Clerk's Office (Room 102, Wasylean Hall). Please bring your student ID with you.

Winter Weather Emergencies
During snow or other weather emergencies, parking advisories may be issued to inform the campus community of parking changes via the flag system. The Office of Residence Life may send e-mail and/or signage in the dormitory area in addition to the flag system.
Snow clearance is a priority; any vehicle interfering with plowing will be ticketed and/or towed.
Preferred Parking status may be suspended in all areas to accommodate the maximal use of garage parking. Garage parking is mandated to minimize parking lot usage for snow removal. Resident student permit holders must park where directed.
Speed Limit Regulations
All vehicles, including Worcester State University vehicles, electric carts, gas powered carts, bicycles, motorcycles, motorized scooters and all other wheeled vehicles are subject to these limits:
Surface roadways: 15 MPH
Parking lots and garages: 10 MPH
Traffic Control Regulations
All vehicles must stop at designated stop signs, stop lights and/or stop bars painted on the road surfaces.
All traffic must obey surface arrows, one way markers and signs.
Failure to abide by WSU traffic policy may result in judicial sanctions through the Judicial Affairs Office and/or the permit holder's forfeiture of ability to acquire future parking permit privileges from Worcester State University.
Parking in the Garage
Faculty and staff members who wish to park in the parking garage along with the commuter students may do so by purchasing a "C" decal at the same rate charged to students. This fee will contribute to the debt service on the garage. No one will be allowed to park in the garage without the appropriate "C" decal.
Any motor vehicle parked on campus after midnight will be considered parked overnight.
Motor vehicles displaying the "R" decal may be parked in appropriate designated parking areas overnight. All other vehicles on campus after midnight must be registered with University Police and must display a valid overnight parking permit. Guests who are parked overnight must remove their vehicle by 10 a.m. the following day, and the motor vehicle must be parked in the designated overnight parking areas. Motor vehicles in violation of this policy and procedure are subject to towing without notification at the owner's expense
All overnight guests* must be checked in with the Institutional Security Officer stationed in Dowden and Wasylean Halls at 7 p.m. A guest's car may not be parked in the upper resident lot. Failure to abide by WSU parking policy may result in ticketing and/or towing and judicial sanctions through the Judicial Affairs Office.
*An overnight guest is any person on campus after 12 a.m. who is not a WSU resident student.
