Worcester State is an ‘OPEN’ testing center and anyone may register to take CLEP exams here, regardless of the college you presently attend. The University is not empowered to grant CLEP credit or to set cut-off (passing) scores for other institutions. Before taking a CLEP test, check with your institution for the appropriate guidelines and restrictions. Make sure you are taking the correct exam, and that the institution will accept it for the course(s) you are seeking to receive CLEP credit. The Registrar’s Office at a given institution is typically the point of contact for these matters.
Once the computerized exam has been completed and graded, an original transcript will be sent either electronically or through the mail to the institution you designated. Non essay tests are typically sent out 2 business days after testing. Essay exams are send out approximately two weeks after testing. For additional transcripts to be sent, please contact ETS directly at (800) 257-9558 and for a fee they will process your request.
Testing is available Monday–Wednesday, 8am-4pm and Thursday-Friday, 8am-3pm. Additional times may be arranged upon request.
All fees can be paid in cash, certified bank check, corporate check, money order, or credit card. Please note we do not accept personal checks.
