As the city of Worcester’s public university, Worcester State takes service to our community to heart. We are pleased to host a large-scale vaccination center in the Competition Gym in the Wellness Center to help speed the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine to Massachusetts residents.

    Operating Hours

Starting Tuesday, Feb. 16, the site will operate Tuesdays through Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

    Schedule a Vaccination

Those eligible to receive the vaccine can make appointments using the statewide reservation portal:

    Appointments: Schedule Your Vaccination

Note: Vaccines for companions who do not meet current eligibility requirements are only available at the state's mass vaccination sites: Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Fenway Park in Boston, Eastfield Mall in Springfield, and the Doubletree Hotel in Danvers. Worcester State is not considered a mass vaccination site.

Park in the North Parking lot and enter through the designated door no more than 5 minutes before your appointment time. Handicap parking and access is available.

Clinic workers should park in the parking lot in front of the Administration Building.

    In Case of Inclement Weather

If the Worcester State campus is closed or has a delayed opening due to weather, the clinic will be shut down and appointments will be rescheduled. Any changes to campus status will be posted on our home page.

    Our Partners

Commonwealth Medicine, the health care consulting and operations division of UMass Medical School, is providing logistics support, project management, and volunteer staffing support.

Saint Vincent Hospital will serve as the clinical partner, providing daily clinical and operational leadership at the site. Additionally, numerous members of the Saint Vincent team will assist Commonwealth Medicine’s volunteer corps in staffing the site in both clinical and non-clinical roles.

Volunteer opportunities are available for both clinical and non-clinical personnel. Medically trained and certified volunteers will administer vaccinations and monitor recipients for any adverse reactions. Non-clinical volunteers will help check-in arrivals, offer directional assistance, disinfect high-touch areas etc.

    Volunteer: Clinical and Non-Clinical Personnel
