Currently we are expanding our operations, creating a bigger newsroom, and adding 3 brand new sports news programs per day. We are looking for interns to work inside and outside of the building, in all aspects of programming and operations. This is a rare opportunity for students to get real hands-on sports broadcasting experience in the Boston market. Comcast SportsNet is now accepting resumes for the spring and summer semesters.
Undergraduate (juniors and seniors only) or Graduate students, credit required. Journalism and Communications majors preferred. Applicants must have a strong knowledge of all sports.
This internship gives students the opportunity to get involved in all elements of television production, including: writing, reporting, editing, the web, graphic design, ENG, the assignment desk, the control room, and any other part of news that interests you. Interns will likely work in one of two broad categories: General Newsroom or Specific Programming.
Log games, log interviews and press conferences, research stories, search for archive footage, assist with details for sports programs, run teleprompter, and potentially assist personnel in the field. Specific responsibilities will be determined upon hire.
