Insurance Agenct Network (IAN) is a company that partners with insurance agencies and insurance companies so that consumers get more choice in insurance coverage and price.
The intern we are looking for may be a computer, marketing or business student.
Skill sets needed:
-Strong computer knowledge
-Understands Microsoft Excel and Word
-Navigates well around the internet
-Can communicate well in a varied enviroment
-Can work on their own after given defined objectives (not micro-managed)
-Completes assigned projects on time
Deliverables to the student:
-Experience in the insurance industry to add to their resume
-A potential list of hiring decision makers
-Get proficient with skills such as:
-Creating marketing lists (not sales)
-Importing and exporting to and from Microsoft Excel
-Creating mail and email merge letters from lists
-Insurance rating programs
-Insurance underwriting guides
-Experience with agency personnel in preparing account packages
-Potential career path at the company or agency level
