Exhibit Development Intern
Exhibits & Programs Department
Project Supervisor: Patricia Fields, Manager of Exhibits

Responsibilities:

• Do background research for exhibits, and present results to exhibit team
• Evaluate the effectiveness of prototypes with museum visitors
• Opportunity to write text for exhibits
• Opportunity to design exhibits and or build of prototypes (working exhibit models)

Qualifications:

• Strong research and writing skills
• Strong background in life sciences, environmental sciences, or related fields
• Interest or background in educational, museum studies or leisure studies desirable
• Art or design skills helpful

Structure of Internship
• One semester or summer minimum commitment
• Minimum time requirement: 2 weekdays per week
• Students who wish to receive course credit must arrange this through
their college or university
• Students will be assigned to and mentored by museum staff
