Linda S. Larrivee, PhD, CCC-SLP is Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at WSU and Interim Dean for the School of Education, Health, & Social Sciences. She received her BS and MS from WSC and her PhD from the University of Kansas.
Area of Specialization
Courses taught by Dr. Larrivee include: articulation and phonology disorders; assessment and diagnosis in speech-language pathology; reading and writing disorders; introduction to graduate and clinical skills; and language disorders in children. In addition to teaching, administration, and research, she is a graduate student advisor.
Dr. Larrivee is the author of several journal articles and book chapters. She has presented extensively at the state, national, and international levels on issues related to phonological impairments, phonological awareness, emergent literacy, language impairment and reading disabilities in school-aged children, and psychometric issues in assessment. Her current research interests include reading and language disorders in children as well as issues in assessment.
