Approved Lab Science 2-Course Sequences
(for CS Majors entering in Fall 2002 or after)

No course sequences other than the ones listed below will be accepted toward the CS Major requirements for a 2-course lab science sequence. Transfer students - please see the CS Department Chair.

Biology - one of the 2-course sequences below
BI 105/106 - Intro to Biology I & II - 4 credits each (replaced with BI 140/141)
BI 140/141 - Intro to Organismal Biology/Intro to Cellular and Molecular Biology - 4 credits each
BI 161/162 - Human Anatomy and Physiology I & II - 4 credits each

Chemistry - the 2-course sequence below only
CH 120/121  - General Chemistry I & II  - 4 credits each

Natural Science - the 2-course sequence below only
NS 101/102  - Physical Science I & II  - 4 credits each

Physics - any two of the following:
PY 241 - Physics I (Mechanics) - 4 credits
PY 242 - Physics II (Electricity and Magnetism - 4 credits
PY 243 - Physics III (Heat and Wave Motion) - 4 credits
