Informed Consent


Confidentiality

All information shared during counseling sessions is confidential. No one outside the Center may have access to the specifics of counseling sessions without prior written permission of the students, except in cases of medical emergency or other situations where the counselor, in the exercise of his/her judgment, deems release of such information necessary or advisable. The law in the State of Massachusetts mandates that information be appropriately shared if a student is an imminent harm to him/herself or to others, when there is an indication of child, elder or disabled abuse, or as required by a court of law.
