Issues and Concerns

Because the Counseling Center serves the entire WSU undergraduate student population, the range of issues and concerns brought by students is as diverse as the range of ages, ethnicities, and spiritual and life choices of our students.

There are many concerns that may lead to counseling, including:

  • Adjustment to college life
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Relationship issues
  • Personal and family crisis
  • Difficulty with decision making
  • Understanding one’s sexual identity
  • Loss and grief issues
  • Academic concerns
  • Loneliness
  • Substance abuse/eating disorders
