    300 Gifts in 24 Hours

The Day of Giving challenge is an innovative 24-hour fundraising challenge that leverages social media to help raise as much money as possible in one day for scholarships, research, the Wellness Center, and other Worcester State University priorities.

While the total amount of money given is important on the Day of Giving, participation is the main goal. For 2017, WSU hopes to receive gifts from 300 donors by the end of the day.

Social media ambassadors are essential for generating buzz and awareness both leading up the Day of Giving and on the actual day.

Last year, 30 alumni and students volunteered to retweet and share information, keeping their friends and followers up to date with the status of challenges and the overall total amount given.

If you would like to volunteer for this vital role, contact Diana Curran, Assistant Director of Annual Giving and Digital Fundraising,

    Rosens Offer $10,000 Challenge
Gregg ’86 and Pamela ’87 Rosen want to encourage WSU alumni to participate in the Day of Giving on Wednesday, April 5, and they are offering a generous challenge gift as an incentive. The couple will donate $10,000 if we meet the goal of 300 alumni donors giving to Worcester State that day.

This is the third time the Rosens have offered such a challenge grant on the Day of Giving. Their generosity also funds other highly visible projects on campus, including the popular Bike Share program.

What is the Day of Giving Challenge?
The Day of Giving Challenges is a one-day-only fundraising event encouraging you to support your favorite area of the university. The fourth annual event will take place on Wednesday, April 5, 2017. When you give a gift that is meaningful to you, you get us closer to the goal of having 300 alumni give back to alma mater. If we meet this goal, Gregg ’86 and Pamela ’87 Rosen will make a gift of $10,000 to support students and programs at Worcester State University.
    Where do gifts go?
100 percent of your gift will go to the area(s) of the college you choose. Popular choices are the Worcester State Fund (area of greatest need), academic departments, athletics, or student scholarships.
How do I decide where to give?
There are many giving opportunities at Worcester State University. We encourage gifts to the Worcester State Fund because they make a vital difference in the lives of students and support the area of greatest need for the college.
