TEACHER EDUCATION ADVISORY COUNCIL (TEAC)

This group acts as the Education Department’s Advisory Council. The participants are from many school districts in central Massachusetts and include superintendents, principals, assistant principals, curriculum specialists, special program directors, faculty and administrators. The group convenes two or three times per year to discuss education topics of mutual interest and concern. The members, who maintain an interest in Worcester State University educational programs, provide input into programs for teacher education at Worcester State University and respond to the ever-changing needs of preparing a teacher education population for teaching. Upon their advice, the Education Department has most recently sponsored re-offering the Master of Education Degree Program with a Concentration in Moderate Special Needs, and a track in the Master of Education Degree Program for English Language Learners Education.
