Areas of Specialization
My specialties are the history of American foreign relations and the age of the American Revolution and early republic. Before Worcester State, I taught at several institutions in Virginia and Massachusetts, including the College of William and Mary, Hampton University, Curry College, Salem State College, Bridgewater State College and the University of Massachusetts-Boston.
Scholarship
I am the author of Keeping the Republic: Ideology and Early American Diplomacy (Northern Illinois University Press, 2004), as well as several book reviews and encyclopedia entries.
