The Latino Education Institute is proud to service Latino families with educational programming in the city of Worcester. Our programs are a model of how to provide out-of-school-time that increase academic skill levels, provide an opportunity to bring communities together, and provide support to families with the navigation of our public school system. Through educational programs, agency partnerships, volunteer/internship opportunities, and advocacy, the Latino Education Institute is at the forefront of assisting Latino families with their academic and career goals.

Latinos are the fastest growing segment of the population in the United States and still face many educational challenges. The LEI and its working partners believe in providing educational support and building an educational environment that fosters learning for all. These relationships help the development of programs and initiatives that articulate our strong belief in the potential of Latino families, in their ability to succeed, and become leaders of our society.
Our programs provide innovative solutions to parents and children, who are looking for alternative ways to increase their English language literacy skills, connect with other families who share similar experiences, and assist in navigating local systems for those who are new to our country. We strive to improve the educational achievement of Latino students and provide support for their continued education.
Worcester State University provides the home and academic facilities for the Latino Education Institute and is fully aware of the importance of strong community and higher education partnerships to support the educational achievement of Latino families.
