Off Campus Access Service

License agreements for most of the Library's electronic resources such as full text article databases, e-Journals and e-Books restrict access from off campus only to current WSC students, faculty and staff. When a WSC user clicks on any of these licensed resources from off campus, they will be prompted to enter their WSC network ID and password. Users only need to login once during an online session.

Please direct questions about Off-Campus Access to Library Resources: Betsey Brenneman, Library Electronic Access Services.  (508) 929-8801 or e-mail to: library@worcester.edu

There are two methods of off-campus access:

  1. EZ Proxy. Log in to EZ Proxy to authenticate as a WSC user.
EZ Proxy allows authorized users to access licensed resources off campus without installing additional software. When you click on a link to any licensed Library Resource from off campus, you will be prompted to enter your WSC network user ID and password.

  2. The Virtual Private Network (VPN) and Remote Terminal Server method also makes your network traffic appear to originate from on campus. You will need to install the VPN client and use the remote terminal server for off campus access to licensed resources. For instructions and restrictions using this method please see the IT website  if you experience problems with the VPN client and remote terminal server, please contact the IT help desk: 508-929-8856 or use the online IT Help Desk Form.
