Academic Resources

  • New Student Registration

As you begin your academic journey, the Academic Success Center can help you chart a clear path to academic success. After your admission deposit is received, you will get an email from us about how to register for classes.

Whether you are a first-year student or transfer student, the first thing you’ll need to do is log in to your WSU email account. Your WSU email account is an official means of communication, and our staff members will contact you through this email address regarding a variety of steps you need to take to be ready for classes to begin. So it is important that you check your WSU email account frequently.

    First-Year Students
If you’re a first-year student, we recommend that you log in to myWSU, using your WSU network login credentials, to access our first-year website (located under Academic Services), where you can select which Registration Day you would like to attend, prepare for placement testing, and start building your first semester's schedule.

In addition, be sure to have your official AP scores, CLEP scores, and transcripts sent to WSU.

    Transfer Students
If you’re a transfer student, we encourage you to contact our center to schedule a Registration Workshop. At this workshop, you’ll learn more about academics and important dates and deadlines. You also will be able to take any placement tests you may need, depending on your major, and meet with an advisor to build your first semester’s schedule.

To prepare for your workshop appointment, we recommend the following:

    • Bring your current semester course schedule.
    • Prepare for the Accuplacer placement tests.
    • Arrange to have your official AP scores, CLEP scores, and transcripts sent to WSU.
    • Refer to the Transfer Equivalency Chart for questions about course equivalencies and transfer credit.
    • Bring a photo ID.
