Student Research Grant Fund
Worcester State University places a strong emphasis on student research and other forms of experiential learning. Therefore, the Worcester State Foundation established the Student Research Grant Fund to provide up to $10,000 annually to support student research, scholarship, and creative activity. Grants can also be applied to travel costs for research or conference and presentations.
Matriculated full-time undergraduate or graduate students, working with a faculty sponsor, are eligible to apply for these grants. Grants are administered through the Office of Academic Affairs, which issues two requests for proposals - one in fall and one in spring - during the academic year.
A condition of any award is that the student will present the results to the research, scholarly, or creative project at the next WSU Celebration of Scholarship and Creativity. Students may also be asked to present their research findings or presentation to the Board of Directors of the Worcester State Foundation or the Board of Trustees of Worcester State University.
Applications are available from academic departments as well as the Office of Academic Affairs.
In addition to the Student Research Grant Fund, The Foundation has supported faculty research through more than 350 WSU Faculty Mini-Grants - a joint program of The offices of University Advancement and Academic Affairs.
