Benefits & Deductions


If you are a regular full-time state employee, you are entitled to the benefits listed below. Part-time employees who regularly work more than 20 hours per week over a twelve-month period are entitled to these same benefits also; however, in some cases they may be proportional to the amount of time worked.

Employees hired on an "as needed basis," whose employment depends on availability of funds, as well as student employees are not entitled to benefits, but are subject to certain deductions (see starred * deductions below). Effective July 1, 2007, non-benefited employees are eligible to enroll in a health insurance plan through the Commonwealth's Health Connector.
