Time & Attendance
Attendance records for all employees are maintained in the Payroll & Benefits Office. Whether you are a regular benefited employee, a part-time temporary employee, or a student employee, it is imperative that you submit your completed and signed attendance sheets on or before the deadline to the Payroll & Benefits Office on a weekly basis. REPORTING ABSENCES
Administrators, librarians and classified staff who are unable to report for work are required to "call-in" one (1) hour prior to their scheduled shift. To report your absence, call your department directly. Unreported absences may be considered unauthorized absences without pay.
Faculty members are required to report all absences to their department head who is responsible for posting all class cancellations.
Part-time employees who are unable to report for work are expected to contact their immediate supervisor or department head to report their absence.
EMERGENCY CLOSINGS
In the event of inclement weather on a normally scheduled class and work day, it may be decided to close the College or to have a delayed start. Announcements regarding closings or delays will be made via: radio stations, television stations, the college homepage, and all WSC email addresses. In addition emergency closing information may be obtained by calling Worcester State College at 508-929-8000 and following the prompts.
