Two-Step Application Process

The scholarship application has a General Application section and an Opportunities section. After you submit your application, the program automatically recommends scholarships for you to apply to, based on answers entered on the application and/or academic information uploaded from our campus records database. Additionally, you can search the available opportunities to seek additional scholarships for which you may be qualified. If corrections need to be made after the scholarship application has been submitted, you now have the ability to log in and update your information as long as it is before the scholarship deadline.

Password Protection

Before you attempt to apply for scholarships, please make sure you have received a Worcester State University Student ID number and have activated your Blackboard account with a valid email address. All scholarship applicants will now use their Worcester State login username and password to log in to the scholarship application. This allows students to use their campus credentials, as they log in and out to complete or update their application, without having to create or remember a different password. If you need help with your Worcester State ID or password, please visit our University Technology Services Help Desk at 508-929-8856.

Security

Worcester State University is committed to providing the latest security and data encryption services for your protection. We do not collect personal information on our website to sell, rent, share, or otherwise disclose to outside organizations.

Personal Statements

You will be asked to provide two narrative statements (essays) describing your activities, awards, personal accomplishments and career objectives. You can cut and paste your information into the personal statements portion of the application from any word processor. Do not use special text formatting such as bold, italic, colors, etc., as these will not appear. Pay special attention to spelling, grammar and content as your application will be carefully reviewed by selection committees including donors, faculty and Worcester State University staff.

Scholarship Directory

When you log in the scholarship application site, you can review the opportunities page for a comprehensive list of hundreds of academic scholarships available to undergraduate and graduate students at Worcester State. Since scholarships are offered by various donors, departments and organizations to students who meet specific criteria, we encourage you to apply regardless of your accomplishments, field of study, class level or GPA.

Please note there are different deadline dates for the various scholarship opportunities offered at Worcester State. Since these deadline dates can change without notice, please do not procrastinate on finishing the application process.
