Then & Now :: WSU Remembers
Worcester State University invites the campus and surrounding community to join us on September 11 and 12th to commemorate the tragic events that took place on September 11, 2001. All events are free and open to the public.
A memory book and large sheets will be available at the events for those who wish to leave a message. In addition, a photo display will be on hand in the Ghosh Science and Tech lobby on Sunday, September 11 in the evening. It will then be moved to the Student Center Exhibit Area for the remainder of the week. The memory book will also be available to sign, after the events, at the Student Center Information Desk.

Front Roadway to be Closed on Monday Sept 12
The campus front roadway will be temporarily closed on Monday, September 12 from 6am-10am in observance of the Flag Raising Ceremony that will take place. Thank you for your patience as the WSU community commemorates the 10th Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
Counseling Services

The Counseling Center staff would like to remind you that counseling services are available to all members of the campus community. As we remember the events of 9/11 this week, we are here to support anyone who may be having difficulty during this time.  Members of the Counseling Center Staff can be reached via email or telephone at 508.929.8072.

Students Discuss 9/11 Events on Jim Polito Radio Show

Mass Remembers: Voices of Hope
2 p.m. :: Institute Park, Worcester
A statewide choral commemoration in remembrance of the tragedy of September 11, 2001. Student transportation leaves Wasylean Hall at 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.
Candlelight Vigil & Documentary "9/11"
6:30 p.m. :: Wasylean Hall Patio & Ghosh Science Center
Vigil starts at Wasylean Hall Patio and ends at the Robin Kaplan Memorial park. Photo display, refreshments and a screening of the documentary "9/11" will follow in Ghosh Science Center.

Remembrance Flag Raising Ceremony
8:30 a.m. :: WSU Flagpole (Admin. Building Front Lawn)
Ceremony to honor all WSU Student Veterans. Three WSU Student Veterans, who served in Afghanistan, will raise the flag that flew over their camp. Ceremony begins promptly at 9 a.m. The campus community is invited to gather in advance at the flagpole for a collective moment of silence. Tea and coffee will be available in the Shaughnessy Administration Building Rotunda following the ceremony.
Campus-Wide Moment of Silence
8:46 a.m.

Let's show solidarity as a community in every classroom and office by commemorating the lives of those lost during the September 11 attacks by participating in a 30 second campus-wide moment of silence.

Theatrical Reading of "The Guys"
6 p.m. :: Fuller Theatre (2nd Floor, Admin. Building)
True story of a fire captain who lost eight men in the collapse of the World Trade Center and his struggle to write and give their heartbreaking eulogies.
