STEP 1

 

 SECURE YOUR PLACE AT WSU (SUBMIT DEPOSIT)
We can't wait to welcome you to the WSU community. Your first step is to send in your deposit. Your acceptance letter informs you of when your deposit is due. After you have sent in your deposit, you can continue with Step 2. Contact Admissions at 508-929-8040 if you have any questions.

 
STEP 2

ACCUPLACER PLACEMENT TESTING
Schedule your appointment to complete English and Math Accuplacer placement testing.

REGISTER FOR CLASSES
Schedule your appointment to register for Fall classes.

BUY YOUR LAPTOP

A laptop is required of all new students. Buy your laptop before the start of classes.

RSVP and ATTEND ORIENTATION

SUBMIT OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS/TRANSCRIPTS
Get all official documents in-AP scores, CLEP tests, final college transcripts and submit to WSU Office of the Registrar.

HEALTH FORMS

Turn in all required health forms (must be in before resident students can move in; commuters before the start of classes).

SIGN UP TO GET EMERGENCY/WEATHER ALERTS
We strongly encourage all students to register your cell/home information in this system so that you receive important information in a timely fashion via your preferred method. (Even parents can register their contact information.) Your WSU email address is automatically registered for this free WSU Alert service, but the text-message option keeps you informed when you're on the go. Visit the emergency notification registration web page for more details.

PROVIDE YOUR EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION
We also strongly encourage all students to register your emergency contact information on WebAdvisor. This information is accessible to key staff at WSU, including Residence Life, University Police, Health Services and Human Resources, should you encounter a personal emergency situation such as needing immediate medical care.

Get your OneCard (student ID) and Parking Pass (Commuters get both at the OneCard Office; Resident freshmen are not
eligible for a parking pass).

Buy your books (save money, buy early to get used books).

Athletics, Intramurals, Student Activities, work study jobs,
and non-work study part-time jobs. Work study jobs are posted outside of the Financial Aid office. Non-work study part-time jobs can be found in Academic and Administrative offices.

FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH OUR STUDENT PORTAL
Our student portal is called the community system and can be accessed by typing community.worcester.edu into your browser's url bar or by clicking the community button located at the bottom of WSU's website home page. There you will find Blackboard
course material posted by your professors, WebAdvisor (schedules, registration, advising and grading), another entry point to your WSU Gmail account, as well as other, just-in-time resources. Important alerts from WSU's alert/emergency notification system are posted in full on the main community page.
