• Worcester Center for Crafts

Whether you are an accomplished artist, a professional educator, or someone with a creative itch, the Worcester Center for Crafts is the perfect place to pursue your inspiration. We’re New England’s leading craft education center with classes in ceramics, enameling, jewelry-making, metal- and glass-forging, and photography. We joined forces with Worcester State University and the Worcester State Foundation in 2009; our facilities are open to WSU students as well as the greater Worcester community.

Here’s how we support academic excellence at Worcester State:

    • More than 1,000 Worcester State undergraduate students participate annually in 60-plus visual arts and music classes run by the Visual and Performing Arts Department as well as classes in glass and ceramics offered by the Division of Graduate and Continuing Education.
    • Professional educators flock to the craft certificate program run out of our education center by WSU’s Center for Effective Instruction.
    • Programs like the Latino Education Institute and internships for students in majors ranging from visual and performing arts to business administration partner with us to expand and enrich their offerings.

As community resources, our Krikorian Gallery, Gallery Store, and art and craft events attract thousands of patrons to the exceptional creativity of locally, regionally, and nationally known artists and artisans. Through our partnership with Worcester State University, we are helping handmade crafts and creativity thrive in our community.
