University information may be transmitted by email to faculty, staff, and students. All members of the WSU community are obligated to check their University email accounts for such communications
Each faculty, staff and student member of Worcester State University receives a University email account upon their registration into Colleague This account must be used for all official University email communications. Faculty, staff, and students are responsible for all University communication sent to them via their WSU assigned email accounts. It is recommended that users check their WSC email accounts at least once per week to ensure that any official University communications are reviewed in a timely fashion. Official Email Communication
Worcester State University considers email as an appropriate mechanism for communication with faculty, staff, and students. Official communication may include policy announcements, registration and billing information, schedule changes, emergency notifications, and other information of a critical or timely nature. Faculty, staff, and students may not opt out from receiving office University email communications.
Official Worcester State University email communications should not be confused with content sent via other University distribution lists, which are used to communicate more targeted information or general interest information, such as event announcements, communication with academic department majors, or marketing/public relations messages. Non-critical communications may be distributed through the appropriate listserv. If desired, faculty, staff, and students may opt out from individual University distribution lists.
