Policy

|
All document types within the Department of Human Resources will be reviewed for compliance and scanned into the University’s electronic document management system.
The electronic versions will stand as “originals”. |

Procedure
|
|
Paper documents will be scanned and then shredded. Scanned documents will be stored in the University electronic document management system and made available as necessary and required. |
|
Exception |
|
The University will retain paper/original documents for any matter that is “in controversy” (internally or externally) or that has been concluded but subject to an appeal period. |
