Title: PCI/Secured Financial Data Compliance Background Check Policy
The purpose of this policy is to define the terms and conditions under which background checks are conducted for employees who have potential access to PCI and/or other secured financial data.
All prospective employees who have potential access to PCI and and/or other secured financial data shall complete an application that provides attestation of any criminal convictions; additionally, all prospective employees who have potential access to PCI and/or other secured financial data will be subject to pre-employment background checks.
This policy applies to
· Prospective external employees applying for positions at Worcester State University
· Current employees who transfer into a position that has potential access to PCI and/or other secured financial data.
Pre-employment background checks may include a review of a candidate’s references, criminal history, and credit history.
The following business units and/or positions require background checks:
· Information Technologies: All Positions
