Purpose:
To establish minimum expectations for Information Technologies' project planning
Statement:
All Information Technologies projects that fall outside of daily routine systems, data, and user support must be fully documented in a current or new Information Technologies SharePoint project management site.
Description:
While some projects necessarily cross multiple group assignments, all Information Technologies projects that fall outside of routine daily support must be designated with a single owner. This owner will function as the overall project manager and is responsible for compiling the project's documentation, establishing implementation guidelines, and functioning as a liaison for IT within the context of the project.
Additional Information:
All Information Technologies' projects must contain the following information and materials:
- All draft documentation
- URLs for reference and research as associated with the project
- Backdown calendar that details major project milestones
- Archive of all relevant email and communications associated with the project
- Listing of financial, material, and labor resources required
- Listing of all final deliverables
- Detailed relevant policies
- Detailed relevant procedures
