USE OF STUDENT HEALTH SERVICES

Policy

The Student Health Services office is open for student use during the academic year.  Student Health Services is closed during legal holidays, and days when the college is closed for inclement weather. 

Procedure

Students requiring health services are encouraged to arrange an appointment except in emergencies.

The Student Health Services office will not be available to students after posted hours, or on weekends or holidays.  Students requiring medical care at these times are to call the residential professional on duty or campus police.  A decision will then be made to transport immediately to UMass Memorial Medical Center Emergency Room or other facility, as the situation indicates. 

All students must leave the clinic area when the last staff person leaves for the day. 

Students should check with the Student Health Services’ administrative assistant regarding clinic hours, and services available during semester and summer breaks.
