| ADMISSIONS | Call to Teaching Event
Worcester State University’s Call to Teaching Initiative seeks to address the shortage of teachers of color in local public schools by recruiting middle and high school students of color to learn the craft of teaching in one of our education major or minor programs. We partner with recent WSU graduates of color who have found jobs as teachers to be passionate spokespeople for the profession.
At the Call to Teaching event, you will have the opportunity to hear current teachers talk about their choice of becoming a teacher and pursuing a major in education at WSU. You also will receive information about admission, financial aid, scholarships, and a tour of campus. The program will conclude with lunch in the dining hall.
Check-in begins at 9 a.m. in the Ghosh Science and Technology Center Lobby. The program will run from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
