Jason A. Hardin

Associate Professor of Mathematics

My primary mathematical research interests lie in commutative algebra, homological algebra, and algebraic geometry. Specifically, I study algebraic properties of the cohomology modules Ext*R(M,N) over complete intersections. I'm also interested in matrix factorizations and their use throughout commutative algebra and related fields. In addition to these mathematical pursuits, I'm interested in the mathematical preparation of elementary and secondary teachers and the use of technology in mathematics instruction.
