    Susanna Meyer obtained her Ph.D. in South Africa at the University of Pretoria. She was a clinician in the Speech and Hearing Clinic, Department of Communication Pathology and the Department of Otolaryngology, University of Pretoria as well as the Department of Speech and Hearing Disorders, University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. She supervised the clinical work of students and taught courses on diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology at both universities. She was involved in research projects focusing on middle ear disease in various populations in southern Africa. These projects were published and presented at professional meetings. Research at the Physiology Department of the University of Oxford, England resulted in papers and presentations on the effect of middle ear disease on listening in noise in infants and children. Dr. Meyer worked as an audiologist in the Audiology Department of UMass Memorial Health Care, Worcester, MA before joining the faculty of the Communication Disorders Department of Worcester State University. Dr. Meyer is the chair of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and the director of the Speech-Language Pathology Graduate Program. She teaches undergraduate courses and supervises several Independent Studies focused on audiology or aural rehabilitation. She teaches graduate courses in Audiology, and Aural Rehabilitation. Her research interests are in teaching and learning, aural rehabilitation and hearing conservation. She works collaboratively with colleagues as well as graduate and undergraduate students. The research has been published or presented at local or national academic meetings.
