{"id":2867,"date":"2021-02-01T08:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-02-01T13:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lead.worcester.edu\/?p=2244"},"modified":"2026-01-05T21:30:39","modified_gmt":"2026-01-05T21:30:39","slug":"into-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.worcester.edu\/campus-life\/2021\/02\/01\/into-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Moving Forward into 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>Welcome back Lancers!\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>We hope you all had a relaxing and restful break.\u00a0Hopefully, you all had time to destress and catch up with friends and family during your time away from WSU. As we look to start our spring semester, OSILD would like to encourage you to take advantage of the opportunities to make important connections with your peers that maybe you couldn\u2019t take advantage of last semester.\u00a0 For most of us, last semester came with a lot of adjustment to various class modalities, Covid testing and protocols and the limiting of traditional campus activities.\u00a0 Adjusting to all of these changes proved to be challenging, but you were all able to persevere and make it through.\u00a0 Now that we have adjusted to the \u201cnew normal\u201d and with the hope of widespread vaccine dissemination, we can look forward to a more positive semester.\u00a0 We can now focus on thinking ahead to not just managing our new classes, but also to make those connections outside of the classroom as well.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>OSILD can provide many opportunities to get involved on campus including club participation, partaking in various virtual and in person events and participating in our leadership opportunities.\u00a0 These opportunities are so important to take advantage of to make those connections not only with peers, but also faculty and administrators.\u00a0 The networking and positive experiences from involvement in co-curricular activities can only benefit you while at WSU as well as in your future career.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Please check out our list of clubs to get involved in at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worcester.edu\/campus-life\/student-involvement\/\">Student Involvement &#8211; Campus Life (worcester.edu).<\/a>\u00a0 For the most up to date information on events, keep an eye on your email for weekly notifications and follow us on Instagram at wsu_osild. \u00a0If you have any
