It&#8217;s been a few weeks now that I&#8217;ve been living in France! So far, it hasn&#8217;t been too bad. The first two weeks of classes have gone by, and none of my classes seem to be too crazy (except for one). Since I can speak, read, and write French fluently, I have the opportunity to take classes in French, with all the other national students. It&#8217;s taken a bit of getting used to, but I think I\u2019m adapting to the French style of teaching rather well.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-51 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.worcester.edu\/presidents-office\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2025\/01\/remy-8-226x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"226\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.worcester.edu\/presidents-office\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2025\/01\/remy-8-226x300.jpg 226w, https:\/\/www.worcester.edu\/presidents-office\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2025\/01\/remy-8.jpg 386w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 226px) 100vw, 226px\" \/>But enough about that boring stuff! I was originally going to make this post about some more laid back stuff, such as the different layout of the city or the differences between how American classes and French classes are taught, but then half of my classes for the week got canceled and I ended up going on a 4-day long stint through Paris! Of course, I didn\u2019t live in Paris for 4 days (I still came back to my apartment at night), but I spent 4 straight days exploring what Paris had to offer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the first day (Monday), me and the other international students obviously had to go and see the Eiffel Tower, especially at night. So, after all of us were done with classes, we took the train into Paris and arrived right in front of the tower. It was the perfect night for this too! There weren&#8217;t too many clouds, which allowed us to see the tower clearly. Seeing the tower at night with all the bright lights illuminating the structure really gives a sense of scale to the whole thing! The way the light contrasts against the metal frame gives a very beautiful impression and really shows the architectural design of the tower. Unfortunately, the elevator that led up to the top (as well as the restaurant) were closed due to repairs, so I couldn&#8217;t get a nice panoramic view of Paris at night. Afterwards, me and my group walked around town a bit until we happened upon a nice Chinese restaurant, where I was able to drown my mild disappointment in a delicious beef noodle soup.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unfortunately for you all, I\u2019m all out of space for this post!
