SHARE A STORY (2 MINUTE MAX) This story should be something personal that you have created yourself—a story from your own life that holds meaning to you. You may write it down and memorize it, or share it meaningfully from the page. You may also have the essence of your story prepared and improvise/engage with the creative team in real time.

Please be prepared to discuss why you chose your song, along with your experience conceptualizing, creating, and sharing your story.
SELF TAPE SUBMISSION PATHWAY
Applicants may submit a self-taped audition in lieu of an in-person audition. All self-taped auditions must be submitted before Friday January 27, 2023 by 6pm. Please include your name in the subject of the email followed by “SPELLING BEE Self Tape” (i.e. “Jane Foster, SPELLING BEE SELF TAPE”). If you need assistance with using your webcam (built-in or USB) to record your audition, check out this walkthrough for both PC and Mac computers. You will be called back as an ensemble to engage with ensemble building and movement work.
