| ACADEMICS | Program Discontinuation or Institutional Closure
In the case that Worcester State discontinues a program before all enrolled students have completed their program of study, the University will implement an individualized teach-out plan for students, in keeping with NEASC policies, which can be found at: https://www.neche.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Pp13a-Teach_Out_Plans_And_Agreements_Policy.pdf
In the unlikely event of institutional closure, Worcester State University will follow all procedures outlined by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) available at https://www.neche.org/. Additionally, the University will adhere to the closure guidelines of the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education (DHE) available at http://www.mass.edu/foradmin/closures/home.asp.
NECHE and the DHE offer helpful information about gaining access to records from closed institutions on their website: https://www.neche.org/for-the-public/merged-closed-or-previously-accredited/.
