Bio

I joined Worcester State University Mathematics Department in 2004. I earned my Ph.D. in Statistics from Carnegie Mellon University in 1989. While I have enjoyed working as an applied statistician in many fields nothing brings me more joy than teaching statistics, developmental mathematics and college level mathematics.

I have recently been working as an expert witness on Racial Profiling Cases across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and in data analytics for an Apartment Building Intelligence company.

John Tukey, a great statistician, is quoted as saying “The best thing about being a statistician is that you get to play in everyone’s backyard.” This has been so true in my life. It is most exciting when I can share these adventures with my students.
