Sessions
Through four interactive sessions, fellows will reflect on past work, develop new ideas for courses and partnerships, engage students as collaborators, and translate their learning into visible institutional and community impact.
-
- Goal: Engage students as co-creators and civic leaders on campus.
Fellows connect with undergraduates involved in Binienda Center summer programming over a lunchtime session where they seek feedback from students on their upcoming courses, share scholar-practitioner pathways, and gather student insight that strengthen mentorship approaches. - Goal: Clarify who your research is for and how it creates impact.
Fellows discuss when, where, and for whom they conduct research, explore strategies for balancing academic rigor with public purpose, and share works-in-progress or partnership ideas for feedback. - Goal: Translate ideas into action and strengthen institutional impact.
Fellows engage in Binienda Center strategic planning, including the Artist-in-Residence program and Collaboratory, while reflecting on what it means to be a Scholar-Practitioner at WSU, a public higher education institute recognized with the Carnegie Community Engagement classification.
