Patch Reservoir Research Facility

Six people stand on a frozen lake, some wearing winter hats and gloves, as two of them use equipment to drill into the ice for an environment program. Trees and sky are visible in the background. A group of people, part of an environment program, paddles a red canoe on a calm lake surrounded by trees, with another red canoe in the distance under a clear blue sky. A group of people wearing waders and life jackets stand outdoors near trees and a lake, posing for a group photo as part of an environment program.A person in waders holds a fish and smiles while others, part of an environment program and dressed in outdoor gear, stand nearby next to a red vehicle.

WSU has access to a property on Patch Reservoir (just behind campus) through a long-term arrangement with the Greater Worcester Land Trust.  This space is used for class field trips and student research projects in the Environmental Science, Biology, Geography, and Chemistry programs.
