Welcome Fall 2026
Welcome to Campus, Lancers!
The Office of Student Involvement and Leadership Development (OSILD) is excited to welcome you back to campus! We’ve been working hard all summer to create engaging programs, leadership opportunities, and experiences designed to make your time at Worcester State University even more meaningful.
Our goal is to provide opportunities outside the classroom where you can build friendships, get involved in the campus community, and develop valuable skills through co-curricular experiences. These experiences can help you grow as a well-rounded individual and prepare you for success beyond college.
Here are just a few of the opportunities available through OSILD:
Student Organizations
OSILD works with more than 45 student organizations that offer opportunities to get involved, build connections, explore your interests, and develop leadership skills. With so many organizations to choose from, there is something for everyone!
Interested in cultural organizations? Check out groups such as the Black Student Union, Muslim Student Association, and Intercultural Student Alliance. If you’re passionate about campus activism or community service, you might enjoy Student Senate, Christian Fellowship, or WooServe. You can also connect with students who share your hobbies or academic interests through organizations such as Games Club, Urban Studies Club, and Political Science Club.
For a complete list of active student organizations, visit our website.
Not sure which organization is right for you? Stop by our annual Club Kickoff and Involvement Fair on Wednesday, September 9th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. outside of the Student Center. Representatives from student organizations will be there to introduce their clubs, answer questions, and help you find ways to get involved. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people and discover something you’re passionate about.
And if you don’t see an organization that interests you, you can always start your own! Just ask us how.
Campus Programming
OSILD offers a wide variety of social programs and events throughout the year to help students connect with their peers and build a strong sense of community.
The year kicks off with our annual Welcome Week celebration, featuring events such as Club Kickoff, Quad Fest, Goat Yoga, Welcome Back Bingo, and much more.
Throughout the academic year, we also offer monthly weekend programs and daytime events designed specifically with commuter students in mind. Between OSILD and our student organizations, we provide up to 350 events each year, all designed to give students opportunities to have fun, meet new people, and make the most of their college experience.
Leadership Opportunities
Looking to strengthen your leadership skills? OSILD offers several opportunities for students to develop the skills they need to succeed both on campus and in their future careers.
Our Circles of Leadership program gives students the opportunity to explore important leadership topics, including ethics in leadership, effective communication, problem-solving, and networking. Visit our leadership opportunities website to learn more about Circles of Leadership and other programs offered throughout the year.
