Bio

Dr. Piazza received a B.S. and M.S. in health education from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. Dr. Piazza holds a doctor of philosophy in health education & promotion from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and is an assistant professor in the Department of Health Sciences at Worcester State University.

Dr. Piazza’s interests include injury prevention and control as well as clinical health promotion. His current research is focused on the problem of distracted pedestrians in the digital age. In addition to working in academia, Dr. Piazza has held private-sector employment at a physical therapy clinic in Gainesville, Florida where he served as and exercise specialist and the undergraduate internship coordinator.
