  • Laptop Repair Depot

    The Worcester State University Laptop Repair Depot’s highly experienced, professional, and industry-certified staff can troubleshoot—and fix—your computer hardware and software problems. If you purchased your computer though the Laptop Purchase Program, service is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.

    Please note that we only repair computers that are dropped off at the depot. It typically takes us 24 to 48 hours to complete a repair.

    If you purchased your computer though our Laptop Purchase Program, service is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.

    If you’d like us to work on a computer not purchased through our program or after its warranty has expired, you’ll pay a $20 fee per incident, but this is only for software-related problems. We only accept payment through WSU OneCard Common Funds.

    Setting up VPN Access
    Visit How to Setup VPN Access to acquire the necessary files to access on-campus resources (Z:/ drive and spss) from an off-campus connection.
    Microsoft Office
    We no longer offer Office as a purchase option, but you can download your free copy of Microsoft Office 2016 Professional Plus for PC and Microsoft Office 2016 for Mac.

    Each user receives 5 licenses that are compatible with laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.

    Note that Office for Mac doesn't include Microsoft Access. In order to use Microsoft Access on a Mac, click on the Additional Software tab and read the VPN section.
    Anti-Virus Software

    We encourage installing anti-virus software on computers to protect against viruses, malware, spyware, etc. We recommend:
