A vital part of our mission is leadership. LEADERSHIP IS MAKING CHANGE. We strive everyday to educate our students to be impactful campus and community leaders. Leadership begins with education. This resource list is not exhaustive, but will provide the opportunity to begin the journey of educating yourself and those around you.
Worcester State Profesor Tanya Mears has been a dedicated member of the WSU community both inside and outside the classroom. She works closely with students to develop both their academic and their leadership skills. Dr. Mears took some time to sit down with us her involvement here on campus.
Assistant Professor of English Hardeep Sidhu, who was recently appointed Director of the Ethnic Studies program, discusses the importance of creating an inclusive campus environment both inside and outside the classroom.
Kate Surprenant is a passionate leader. She is a feminist and believes you have to put your heart into the work that you do. Kate is doing just that in her many roles here on campus, including her position as Women’s Basketball Captain. Kate took the time to share her beautiful perspective on leadership with us.
Nigerian American Omolara Ojo is an extremely involved student leader at WSU. She understands the importance of incoming students seeing people that look like them in leadership roles on campus. Therefore, Omolara has dedicated her time at Worcester State to making sure this happens. She recently took some time to share her story with us. We are excited to share it with you.
