The Career Development Center, Office of Student Involvement & Leadership Development, and Alumni Relations welcome students, staff, faculty, and guests to the newly redesigned Future Forum: Alumni & Career Leader Series. We are looking forward to sharing this impactful event with the campus community.

Whether you’re involved with clubs, intramurals, or an on-campus job, you’ll be able to find a workshop that fits both your interests and your time!
In the list below, you will find this year’s workshop offerings. Pay special attention to when each is scheduled. You may register for as many or as few as you like! Refreshments, snacks, and light appetizers will be served at all workshops.
Kick-Off Event: Young Alumni Panel
Tuesday, February 18
5:30-7:30pm, Sheehan Multipurpose Room
This year’s program will kick off with a Young Alumni Panel, featuring seven recent graduates sharing how their leadership experiences on campus have helped them in their careers. Appetizers will be served. Advanced registration is required; you may register at the link above.
Networking Event: Beyond the Business Card
Thrusday, February 20
5:30-7:30pm, Gambrino’s
This year’s program will conclude with an off-site networking reception at Gambrino’s Cast & Barrel in Worcester. Beyond the Business Card will provide you with an intimate opportunity to meet with alumni and discuss your experiences and goals for your future career. Pizza will be served. Emotionally Intelligent Leadership (EIL) plays a pivotal role in shaping leaders who inspire, motivate, and drive themselves and their teams towards achieving shared goals. EIL is a skill and a style of leadership that involves creating an increased awareness of yourself and others. During this workshop you will learn about your own EIL style and how to harness your most effective characteristics.

The world needs introverted leaders because they bring thoughtful decision-making, deep listening skills, and careful analysis to their leadership roles, qualities that are essential in our complex, fast-paced world. This session will promote the strengths of introverts as leaders and include opportunities to learn from local resources.

This interactive workshop will consider ways that the sense of personal responsibility and accountability among leaders and those they lead have shifted over recent decades and how we might think of better approaches to responsibility and accountability in the future. Skill development will include self-awareness and self-evaluation as well as other evaluation tools and principles.
