• Grants

At Worcester State University, grants—from government agencies, private foundations, and corporations—nurture the intellectual curiosity, hands-on research, and creative exploration happening in all academic areas of the WSU campus. They enable members of our faculty to work with students on a variety of scholarly pursuits, giving our students critical skills employers look for—the ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and communicate clearly. They also provide financial support of initiatives aimed at meeting WSU's strategic goals including student scholarships, community-based programming, faculty development, equipment, technology, and capital renovations.

WSU has 2 offices that seek external funds:

    • The Grants Office within Administration and Finance, which coordinates all government grants, as well as administration of University-wide grant functions that include pre- and post-award procedures and management of all grant financials
    • The Corporate and Foundation Relations Office within University Advancement, which manages the cultivation, preparation, and solicitation of all private grants and sponsorships from businesses, corporations, and foundations
Both offices work collaboratively to ensure faculty and staff have access to the best possible resources and training to help underwrite their scholarly and academic initiatives.
