| LIFE AT WSU | Residence Life | Move-In & Check-In
Our fall 2021 safety precautions begin, appropriately, with Move-In. Each resident will sign up for a date and time between August 16 - August 20 to move their belongings into their fall room assignment using the MyHousing portal.
As a reminder, all students are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19, before coming to campus in the fall, and upload information about their status by their Move In date.Learn more about the vaccination requirement.
Move-In will be an opportunity for all residents, who are able, to move their belongings into their space early in August to avoid larger groups of typical move-in days in prior years. Residence Life will bring you to your space, unlock your door and you will have 1-2 hours to unpack and get settled, as much as possible. After you move into your room, you will go home until your official Check-In Day - August 31 for our First Year residents and September 1 for our returning residents.
If you are unable to move into the halls during move-in week, you will be able move in during your assigned check-in date and time.
Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 8 a.m.
Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 8 a.m.
We will not be inviting early arrivals to the halls this year. Check In for Dowden and Sheehan Hall will be Tuesday, August 31 and for Chandler Village and Wasylean Hall, on Wednesday, September 1.
Should you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact us at email@example.com or 508-929-8074.
Unfortunately, we will not be inviting early arrivals to the halls this year.
Always be sure to carry your OneCard and any keys you are issued with you at all times. Your OneCard functions as an access card that operates both the interior and exterior residence hall entrances and room doors.
The best way to ensure your safety and to protect your belongings is to lock your room any time you leave. This is especially important during move-in/check-in when there are many people in and around the residence halls.
To make move-in days (August 16 - 20) as easy as possible, blue move-in carts will be available to help you and your family members unload your vehicle. Please plan to bring a majority of belongings during move-in (bedding, storage, clothing, fan, etc) as we will have limited space for full move-ins during the check-in days for anything more than a couple of bags. During check-in days (August 31 and September 1), we will not have blue move-in carts available and each student will only be given a small window of time to arrive to campus.
