Students may transfer into Worcester State’s art-related majors; final studio/art history equivalencies to be set via course-by-course review by Worcester State Visual & Performing Arts. Art Therapy Major (B.A.) No direct major equivalent at Worcester State. Graduates typically continue to specialized M.A. programs in Art Therapy (e.g., Springfield College). Worcester State may accept selected coursework into Psychology, Art, or related majors on a course-by-course basis. Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Business Major (B.S.) No direct equivalent program at Worcester State. Students may transfer into Data Science (B.S.) with a focus on data analytics and modeling. Business Administration Major (B.S.) Business Administration (B.S.) concentrations in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Small Business, International Business, and Management. Business Data Analytics Major (B.S.) Computer Science (B.S.), concentration in Big Data Analytics. Criminal Justice Major (B.S.) Criminal Justice (B.S.) Cybersecurity Major (B.S.) Computer Science (B.S.) Cybersecurity concentration. Digital Marketing Major (B.S.) Marketing (B.S.) concentration under Business Administration. Digital Social Media Design Major (B.A.) Communication / Media & Design–type majors at Worcester State. No one-to-one major confirmed; courses likely apply toward Communication, Media, or related programs, subject to Worcester State departmental approval. Early Childhood Education (PreK–2) Major (B.A.) Early Childhood Education (B.S.) Elementary Education (Grades 1–6) Major (B.A.) Elementary Education (B.S.) English Major (B.A.) English (B.A.) Fire Science Major (B.S.) Worcester State does not currently offer a Fire Science degree. Worcester State has indicated a willingness to pursue a DHE-approved teach-out, contingent upon approval, availability of resources, and potential hiring of qualified AMC faculty. Final feasibility subject to DHE determination. Forensic Criminology Major (B.S.) Criminal Justice (B.S.) No direct Forensic Criminology degree at Worcester State. Students may transfer into Criminal Justice (B.S.), with forensic and criminology coursework applied where appropriate. Graphic Design Major (B.A.) Graphic Design / Visual Communication. Related tracks within Worcester State’s Visual & Performing Arts or Communication programs. Alignment focused on design, typography, and digital media courses, subject to portfolio and course review. Health Administration Major (B.S.) Public Health (BS) Health Science Major (B.S.) BS in Public Health. Final acceptance and credit transfer are determined by the Worcester State department through a course-by-course review. History Major (B.A.) History (B.A.) Law, Justice & Society Major (B.S.) No direct degree equivalent. Recommended pathway: Political Science (B.A.) + Pre-Law Minor. Course applicability determined through departmental review. Liberal Studies Major (B.A.) Liberal Studies (B.A.) Master of Business Administration Graduate (MBA) No MBA program at Worcester State. Closest graduate pathway: Master of Science in Management (MSM). Clear communication is required to ensure students understand the degree title difference. Master of Education Graduate (M.Ed.) Master of Education (M.Ed.) Master of Public Administration Graduate (MPA) Master of Public Management (MPM) at Worcester State. Degree titles differ; curricular alignment is strong. Nursing – RN to BSN (Online) Undergraduate Completion Program RN-to-BS in Nursing (if available at time of transfer). Intended pathway for licensed RNs completing the BS. Where Worcester State’s RN-BSN structure differs, students may be evaluated for advanced standing or transfer into the BSN program; final decisions rest with Worcester State Nursing. The Worcester State RN-to-BSN is not currently online and is very limited in size; therefore, most or all AMC RN-to-BSN students will not be able to enroll for this reason, unless resources are made available to expand the capacity. Nursing – Traditional BSN Major (B.S.) BS in Nursing (Pre-Licensure). Direct program-to-program pathway for qualified AMC students, subject to Worcester State Nursing admission, progression, and clinical placement standards. Course-level equivalencies and NCLEX eligibility remain under Worcester State’s policies. Space in this program is extremely limited, and most or all AMC Nursing students will not be able to enroll for this reason, unless resources are made available to expand the capacity. Philosophy Major (B.A.) Philosophy (or Philosophy & Religious Studies). Strong content alignment; courses likely to transfer as philosophy or humanities credit. Psychology Major (B.A.) Psychology (B.A.) Direct disciplinary alignment; research, methods, and content courses (developmental, abnormal, social, cognitive) should transfer cleanly, pending Worcester State’s Psychology approval of upper-level requirements. Video and Photographic Arts Major (B.A.) Media Production / Communication / Visual & Performing Arts. Intended as a pathway for students focusing on video, photography, and media production, course transfer is evaluated individually. Web Design Major (B.A.) No direct major equivalent. Likely destination is a combination of Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology programs at Worcester State; courses may transfer as CS, MIS, or design electives depending on content. All current Anna Maria College undergraduate students in good social and academic standing, and all recently accepted students, will be guaranteed admission to Worcester State University.

Worcester State offers many of the same majors as Anna Maria College, allowing students to transfer credits and stay on track. In some instances, however, where space is limited or program offerings vary, students may be offered a different track to pursue. Our dedicated Anna Maria College Transfer Admissions Representative can help you determine the best path forward based on your transcript and your goals.

Transferring to Worcester State is as easy as 1-2-3.Step 1: Apply. Create your admissions account by submitting an application. Use code “AMC” to waive the application fee. If you have submitted an application to Worcester State within the last year (Fall 2025-Fall 2026), you do not need to reapply. Your application is still valid. Contact the admissions office (508) 929-8040 to reactivate your application. Step 2: Request your transcript for Anna Maria College. It can be sent electronically using this link. Step 3: Submit your FAFSA. Have your FAFSA sent to Worcester State.

Worcester State is able to offer admission to its BSN program to a limited number of Anna Maria College nursing students. Admission to the program will be based on available seats and a competitive application review. To be considered, Anna Maria College nursing students should apply as soon as possible and no later than the priority deadline of May 15. While space in Worcester State’s nursing program is limited, it may be expanded if possible, so nursing students are encouraged to apply by the deadline.

Worcester State intends to offer the teach-out of Anna Maria’s online BS in Fire Science program beginning in Fall 2026 for current Anna Maria fire science majors. Pending final approval by regulators, Worcester State will offer the same curriculum as Anna Maria to minimize disruptions in learning and ensure a timely degree completion.

The priority deadline for Anna Maria College undergraduate transfer student applications is May 15. This deadline is especially important for more competitive programs, like the B.S. in Nursing and the B.S. in Fire Science, but it is encouraged for all applicants.

Yes. All Anna Maria College transfer students who meet Worcester State graduation requirements will be awarded a degree from Worcester State University. Worcester State is a regionally-accredited, financially sound university and is highly regarded in the city of Worcester and the Commonwealth.

Worcester State will consider all Anna Maria undergraduate students for financial aid in accordance with existing Worcester State financial aid awards and programs. While the amount awarded may be different, the net cost could be lower than Anna Maria College due to Worcester State’s lower tuition and fees. Current Worcester State students can expect the same level of services and course offerings moving forward as they have become accustomed to in the past. Just as we did in 2021, when we welcomed Becker College students to our community, Worcester State administration, faculty, and staff will work diligently to adjust course schedules and offerings to accommodate our new students without inconveniencing our current students.
