This certificate focuses on the basic competencies associated with helping people in recovery from substance abuse disorders, and is available for matriculated and non-matriculated students alike. The program will provide students with content knowledge in addictions counseling that map to core competencies outlines by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Bureau of Substance Abuse Services (BSAS).
