Resident Parking Decal Application
To park on campus as a resident student, you must first apply for a decal.
If you have been approved and have purchased a resident-student parking decal, you will be able to park in the following approved lots. Dowden Lot (A) or Parking Garage Lot (GAR) on floors three (3) four (4) and five (5).
Permits designate the appropriate lots.
- Parking Garage (GAR) decal allows parking in the Parking Garage floors three (3) and four (4) and five (5) only.
- LOT A (Dowden Hall) decal permits allow parking on campus in resident-student parking spaces, located in Dowden Lot only.
Decals are $175. for the year (fall and spring) and $90. for the spring semester only. If you are approved, you will be assigned a parking lot – Garage or Lot A. This will be the only space you are approved to park in at any time.
If you are found to be parking outside of your designated permitted area, you may lose your decal for on campus parking and you will be ticketed. Frequent parking violations will be referred to our Office of Community Standards.
If the student receives a parking citation, the student only has 21 days to appeal the ticket if they feel they got it in error. If the appeal is denied the student will have the right to a hearing at their request. Hearings are held on Tuesdays and will be scheduled with Parking and Transportation. If the ticket is not paid, late fees will incur by the RMV not the University, and if the ticket is not paid the owner of the registration will not be able to renew their license and/or registration.
