The WSU TRiO Student Support Services (SSS) program is a federally funded program under the Office of Multicultural Affairs. The program seeks to increase the retention and graduation rates of income eligible, first generation*, and/or students with a documented disability. TRiO SSS provides comprehensive services and opportunities designed to promote educational success. TRiO SSS is located in the Learning Resource Center, Room 120G.
*First generation student is an individual where neither parent has completed a four-year bachelor’s degree.

We offer free support for your academic, personal, and career goals through one-on-one mentoring, tutoring and coaching. Whether you need help staying on track, planning your future, or just someone in your corner, TRiO SSS has your back.
Our program serves 140 WSU students who meet at least one of the following:
You are a first-generation college student
You meet federal income guidelines
You have a documented physical, mental, or learning disability
Our goal is to help you feel confident in your own chosen path, feel prepared for steps after college, and feel supported every step of the way.
One-on-one academic support
Financial aid guidance
Financial literacy skill building
Personal growth and wellness support
Career and graduate school guidance
Peer mentoring from your fellow classmates
Access to scholarship opportunities

To be eligible, students must meet one or more of the following criteria:
TRiO SSS is funded to serve 140 students. Program participants must be US citizens or nationals, meet the residency requirements for federal financial assistance, and be enrolled at the University.
