About
The WSU TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program is a federally funded program under the Office of Multicultural Affairs. The program seeks to increase the retention and graduation rates of income eligible, first generation*, and/or students with a documented disability. TRIO SSS provides comprehensive services and opportunities designed to promote educational success. TRIO SSS is located in the Learning Resource Center, Room 120G.
*First generation student is an individual where neither parent has completed a four-year bachelor’s degree.

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, students must meet one or more of the following criteria:
Qualify as income-eligible OR
Are a first-generation University student (neither parent has completed a four-year college degree) OR
Are registered with the Student Accessibility Services. (Required documentation for students with disabilities is in line with the University’s Student Accessibility Services (SAS).Federal TRIO SSS Requirements
TRIO SSS is funded to serve 140 students. Program participants must be US citizens or nationals, meet the residency requirements for federal financial assistance, and be enrolled at the University.
