What you need to know about withdrawing from Worcester State.
-
Withdrawing from Worcester State after the add/drop period will not result in a reduction in tuition and fees. Any balance due at that time, will remain due after withdrawal is complete.
If you receive Financial Aid funds, withdrawal after the add/drop period may result in funds needing to be returned to the funding source; this may create a balance on your student account which will need to be paid.
-
If you have student loans, your loans will enter repayment between one and six to nine months from your leave of absence/withdrawal date. If you return to Worcester State, you may be eligible to defer the payments at that time. Keeping your student loans in good standing is critical, especially if you plan to continue your education.
If you have Financial Aid for the semester in which you are taking a leave of absence/withdrawing, your Financial Aid may be adjusted based on the number of weeks you attended and you may have an outstanding balance after the adjustment is made.
-
If you are a resident student, please note you must also complete the Resident Status Change Form located in your MyHousing account under the Applications menu. If you have any questions on this paperwork please feel free to contact Residence Life by telephone at 508-929-8074, by email at reslife@worcester.edu or by stopping by the Residence Life Office in Sheehan Hall, room 101.
